Planning a career in health care?
Considering a career in Nursing, Laboratory Technology,
Diagnostic Imaging, Social Work, Respiratory Therapy,
Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Health Records,
Psychology, Family Medicine or another health-related
profession?
South Shore Health is offering bursaries of
up to $5,000 to students pursuing health-related careers. High
school, college and university students from Lunenburg and
Queens Counties are eligible to apply. Successful bursary
recipients will be required to enter into a return-for-service
agreement with South Shore Health equal to the number of years
supported by the Bursary Program.
South Shore Health employees returning to
an accredited learning institution for education that will
result in a change in the employee's profession are also
eligible to apply for a bursary.
Restrictions may be applied to specific
health care professions.
Deadline for Application is July 31,
2009.
