The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has begun a public consultation to create Public Health Goals for Canada.  This project begins this spring and is expected to be completed this fall.

Many countries have developed national public health goals.  National goals are extremely important for setting priorities and taking action to promote and protect the health of a nation’s citizens. 

Everyone is invited to participate in the development of public health goals for Canada.  You may take part through meetings that will be held in many communities in the upcoming months and by visiting the Public Health Goals website at http://www.healthycanadians.ca/index.html.  Thank you for taking time to assist in this important task.
